A printed mural is not a roll of repeating pattern. It arrives as a set of numbered panels, each carrying one slice of a continuous image, and the job is to hang them in order so that a tree trunk, a bridge cable or a blossom branch runs across the joins without a step. Before anything goes up, the wall is measured against the print so the horizon of a lake scene or the skyline of a city lands where you want it, not clipped at the ceiling or lost behind a sofa.

Most of these rooms use one wall of strong imagery with plain painted walls around it, the navy walls either side of a green hills mural being the clearest example. That contrast is what makes the accent work.
